Original article posted on 16.02.2010:

German tuners Avus Performance have released a new package of modifications for the BMW M3 coupe.  The firm's engineers attacked the goal of making an "even sportier" version of the sports car.

Working from their complex east of Berlin in Strausberg, engineers attempted to optimize the suspension and exhaust.  They created a new front lip spoiler, rear deck lid spoiler, and rear diffuser from carbon fiber, before using the material on parts of the interior.

The show car rides on matte gunmetal wheels measuring 9x20 in the front and 10.5x20 in back.  However, customers are not limited to this alone.  The ADV.1 wheels may be purchased "in any size and [several] colors."

Avus Performance's kit should be available soon.

no need to add more power, i'd prefer if they improve the handling and make the car lighter.

Am I missing something here? Where's the performance and "tuning package"?! This is a worthless post unless you are selling the wheels. So you slap on some sham company's wheels, copy someone else's carbon parts and call yourself a "tuner". Please...

There is a major mistake in this article where Avus Performance has claimed the aerodynamics on the vehicle was designed and produced by them. This is in fact very incorrect and all of the aero components have all been 100% designed, developed and produced by Vorsteiner and the photos are of a Activeautowerkes | Vorsteiner demo car. These photos were taken without the permission of the respectful owners and a very misleading press release was sent out by their PR firm. We hope that Avus Performance will retract their statement and the online blogs will correct this mistake. Vorsteiner Media Relations
