seems very sensible... now if all city cars, buses and vans were electric the pollutions levels in cities would plummet

... but the CO2 from the extra-production of electricity to power these new vehicles would increase!... Electric cars aren?t the only answer - they?re just part of the solution! Obrigado

indeed. i think though that a lot of city dwellers suffer from health problems related to pollution- asthma especially, so innner city emissions need to be cut.

Bom coment?rio!!! People need to realize that to produce batteries they need to polute even more. What will happen the non-usable batteries? Recycle? Ok. More pollutions for the process. Correct.. EV's are a part of the solution, indeed. Not the answer We need to think seriously about that.

I read a white papaer about electric vehicles still being cleaner--even if the electricity was made from coal. The well to wheel calculations for these things get very elaborate, as are the complete carbon footprint for the life of the vehicle. I wished I'd kept copies of these articles, but they were my employer's.
