Oh my... at least Nissan tried to be original with the front. Nothing else on the market today looks like it though.

Nissan has created a new segment. The mini SUVs. its not a good looker but I appreciate what Nissan has done with this model.

i always thought the suzuki samurai and the sidekick as the original mini suv....

New segment? Jeep Wrangler has been almost unchanged for 50 years.

I am fascinated that you see this and the Wrangler in the same segment. Do you really think the people who buy a 1.6 litre Micra-sized Juke will be also considering a 4.0 litre utility truck like the Jeep.

I was referring to the mini SUV segment comment. And the Wrangler offers a four cylinder.

EDIT:
When it comes to sense of proportions, I wish the American car manufacturers would start reevaluating how they define 'small' cars and especially 'small' engines.
I don't think a Wrangler is a small form of transportation. 4x4s that apply to this category are the Daihatsu Terios, Toyota RAV4, Suzuki Jimny, etc. That's a sensible form of transportation.

Nothing to do with intelligence.
It's a known fact that when it comes to cars (amongst other things), Americans have lost human proportions.
Didn't mean to offend you, sorry.

hate those peugeot-style headlights! You can cut in them if you're not careful. :))

I like it. Yeah one can see mixture of different cars in it but I think it's nicely put together. Interior looks very interesting. This thing will sell in US especially in big cities if they advertise it right.

i think it's a grower- once you get used to it it starts to look cool- i watched the video and it looked better than the pics.

Original and more well resolved than the concept. I like it for being perhaps this generations Subaru Brat. You remember when Subaru made wild bug-eyed Imprezas right? Yeah, I almost forgot too. Thanks Nissan for making something that makes me say, Wow! What is that? Another plus is the color-keyed interior, this was last seen on a Jeep or a VW Bug, it's a class dune-buggy nod that is well articulated here. I hope it does well, timing is everything, and I think we could all use a little weird design passion these days. Peace!

ive asked this question many times recently...why ar companies doing the promo shots of maroon cars??? they dont make the models look good, i dont think this car looks goodbut the lines looked better on the concept and the colour coded interior looks terrible in this colour, white, blue, purple even.

great little car. You can't blame nissan for being to boring! what a departure from the likes of the micra, i for one love the design and hope it prompts other companies to take some chances when designing new cars.

@ need4speed
The C30 tail lights are like this: ^ ^ The Juke tail lights are more like this: _| |_ I think they don't look alike at all.
Overall, I like this little car. I just wish it wasn't an SUV. Get rid of the round holes in the lowest part of the front bumper and make the car ~5cm lower. Then it'd be awesome.
