AK-Car Design Envisions SLS AMG

 AK-Car Design Envisions SLS AMG
AK-Car Design styling illustration for Mercedes SLS AMG - 600

When former Lorinser tuner Adolf Koch hit retirement age, he knew he still desired to be creative.  That's why at 65-years-old, and after 47 years with Lorinser, he chose to form his own company.

His newest design is a proposal for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.  As seen in these renderings, the package begins at the front with a new grille with black honeycomb elements.  This is also reflected nicely in the new bumper at the air inlets.  The suggested new sidesills look nicer than stock, and flow better with the look up front.

The new rear bumper incorporates quad tailpies instead of dual pipes, and replaces the rear diffuser.  About the only thing not likable on the car are the wheels.

AK-Car Design offers an entire kit for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and a few parts for several Audi models.  Koch's firm has also developed renderings for the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and SL-Class.

We expect to see more work from Koch in the near future as well as a Geneva debut for the SLS.

Yup, in fact the SLS is actually AMG's first ground-up car, so it only really wears the silver star by association.

I like it too. Pretty much the first tuner package that I find attractive. My only qualm; the overkill of slats in the scoops/air-dams. 1 slat would've been enough. The grill is SUPERB! I love it! I'd completely do that on mine with the wonderfull sideskrits. I'd pass on the rear.

It's barely out yet and people are already ruining it. That air intake under the headlight already made the front look fussy, now it looks worse. I'll take a normal one.

I have to agree with Mikeado, the wheels are no horrific, but the rest of the desing is sacrraligious. Leave a classic a classic. This reminds me of that old saying. Do you know why the Jackson 5 recorded, "I'll Be There", Answer so Mariah Carey wouldnt have too!!!

Awful. Straight to Dubai. It will fit right in with the other trash-tuned supercars.

I used to think and say that the Lowest Rungs of Hell, would be reserved for contingency lawyers and general contractors, but I think lower hell should make some more room, for certain car tuners!!
