Wow...this is great news...
I sure hope they install those Battery Swapping Stations soon...
Tesla, have you thought about Battery Swapping??? That means we can drive into a Battery Swapping Stations, swap our depleted batteries with newly charged ones and drive off in a jiffy.
If you can pressure the American Government to build those Battery Swapping Stations soon...you will be the next great American Car Manufacturer...
May the Force be with you my friend.

Err, banks of heavy, -and more importantly expensive- batteries hidden in every spare space in the car are not exactly like gas cannisters on BBQ's. You won't be able to drive up hand them over and get some full ones back.
More likely (and already being rolled out in some places) are parking bays with charging facilities. Both public and private.

I think you guys are missing the point entirely. This car is designed for looking good cruising in a city, not for a roadtrip. On average most city drivers drive about 80 kilometers (roughly 55 miles). So the 220mile range would be sufficient for ordinary users. All I know is that this whip is hot and I'd take off my hat to Testla but my head would get cold.

Actually, I am not. btw: what on earth is a "whip"? besides an appliance used on my mrs occasionally?

Someone likes to get freaky :]. Anyway "whip" is an epitat in African American slang refering to an automobile of significant value.

and how many afro-american's or rappers would regard this e-vehicle as a whip????? only if you can put 26inch rim's on it
