No defference between this M and normal 4.4 for the exterior except the engine, front looks ok but the rear is ugly! Actually I haven't seen any tuner who could fix a nice body kit on the X6

Improving this car's offroad capabilities is much more significant in my opinion. The last thing the X6 M needed was more power.

"Improving this car's offroad capabilities " - what offroad capabilities ?
i'd rather have them shave ~250 kilos off the car than give it more power. but i know the clients need more power to compensate for other things.

I mean that for my taste the stock X6-M has plenty of power and enough exterior mods. I wouldn't really go for something that had more of the same in an SUV. We know it can do 0-60 in about 4.5 on asphalt. What would really impress me is if they could make it go that fast when the road runs out. I was hoping the X6 would be something in between a normal SUV and a Bowler Wildcat. Ideally, I would like to be able to take this car to the track and own, drive to an offroad course and own again, without ever having to get out of the car. The X6, unfortunately, is not so good off-road, especially when compared to the Range Rover. I'm not really impressed by a tuner adding more power to what is already one of the fastest 4X4s on the market.

dbehmoaras , the X6 was never intended for offroad , that's why BMW calls the X5/6/3/1 SAVs , Sports Activity Vehicles. they clearly say the X6 is not meant to be taken off road. it's ok for gravel roads but that's all. what i want from the X6 is a way to make it lighter, for better handling.
if someone would make an offroad X6 , it would probably be Hartge, they make offroad conversions for the X3.
