You hate to cast aspersions on students, but Bentley really did back the wrong students this time. I get that student projects don't have to share the proportions of functional cars. This paradigm usually produces some interesting "automotive art pieces" or concepts that evoke some sort of dream or emotion. Is "gag reflex" an emotion. I can't see any desirable or original future design direction in these. No one gets better than a D-.

you're totally right... and if you remember there was once (I don't know if they still produce it) a car called Ssang Yong RODIUS, one of the ugliest cars ever to exist (and it's an official fact)... well the design of that THING was made by a professor from the Royal College of Art so... no more need to comment...

I haven't left a post in a while but I just had to comment on this because there is very little Bentley in the designs and to be frank, one of them is a Bangle BMW with a Bentley grille

 WTF WTF
All designs look a bit rushed and unfinished. Offtopic: Design departments at Jaguar, Aston Martin, Land Rover, Audi, Ford, VW, Volvo, Bentley, Roll-Royce, to name few, are all directed by ex-RCA studends. So this "Ssagn Yong" comment is completely irrevelant here...

I'd like to congratulate the students. I'm not a car designer and I'm not a student at the RCA so I'm not presumptuous enough to criticize their work.
