B&B Gives VW Golf R 362hp

 B&B Gives VW Golf R 362hp
VW Golf R by B&B Automobiltechnik

Top speed in excess of 280 km/h (174 mph)

B&B has unveiled a new tuning program for the Volkswagen Golf R.

Available in three different configurations, the Golf R can be modified to produce 310, 324 and 362 PS. While details are limited, the range-topping model features a larger turbocharger, a sports exhaust system (with a larger downpipe and a racing catalyst), revised engine electrics, a new air intake, an optimized intercooler, and a Slim-Line oil cooler. Thanks to these tweaks, the 362 PS B&B Golf R can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and top out at more than 280 km/h (174 mph).

To make the most of the added power, B&B installed an adjustable coilover suspension (with sport springs that reduce the ride height by 30mm) and a high performance braking system.

While the company normally outfits their cars with Caractere body kits, B&B stated the only styling change will be the addition of exclusive 19 and 20-inch wheels.

I guess you can say that. Except maybe, that the Golf's interior utilizes higher fit and finish and comfort overall.

Beautiful car! But talk about useless power. Front wheel drive and 300+hp goes like peanut butter and water.

The "R" is AWD. Get your facts right before you post.

In fact it is FWD, while the rear wheels are only engaged to correct the position of the car. It is using HALDEX which is used on S3, TTS, TTRS and the rest of VWs 4motion. While Audi is using TORSEN AWD system which is by far different from haldex.

@dasoviet: ...er FWD + RWD = AWD, whether it is permanent or part-time RWD.

I hope they do recalibrate the 4WD system, cause most of the the time, the power are send to the front wheels.
