2011 BMW M3 Competition Package Rumored to Emulate M3 GTS
The 2011 model year BMW M3 is rumoured to carry an M3 GTS Competition Package (codenamed ZCP) as an option. According to sources who spoke to Bimmerfile.com, the package will be available to enthusiast US M3 owners who need a bit more aggression and performance from their cars. The US was unfortunate enough not to be included on the GTS global list.
Apparently included are items like Alcantara interior inserts, 19-inch wheels, a suspension system that is lowered by 10mm and an updated EDC Sport setting. A possible exhaust or transmission upgrade is also speculated.
It is expected that the package will cost about between US$4,000 and US$5,000 if and when it is released.

I don't think that the competition package will offer full GTS capabilities. In my honest opinion BMW should have went all-out with the GTS, call it the GTR (basically the GTS but with 500bhp is what I had in mind), and then the current GTS should have been offered as the competition package, minus the extreme weight reduction and racing outfit. That said, I still want a GTS in my garage, second only the 911 GT3 RS for cars in this class.

I don´t think, that the competition paket will something to do with the GTS. It´s just an backdoor application of the actuell M6 Competition paket!
And that make sense, unfortunatly the M3 is in heavy need of downforce and more grip.

what does the "competition" refer to? tailgating people on the highway and driving like a high schooler who just got his license?
