Woman in Scion xB Evades and Mocks Police During Pursuit [Video]

Police officers in California were likely frustrated on 10 April 2009 when they spent a portion of their morning chasing 47-year old Peggy Ann Boesing.  Hopefully, seeing the video play out with Yakety Sax in the background will make those involved laugh a bit.

We know the video is not new, but it still makes us smile.

The chase began in Long Beach, California when police responded to complaints of a "woman screaming," according to published reports.  Officers responding found the Signal Hill resident driving a Scion xB cutting off car after car.

When the patrol tried to pull over Boesing, the chase began.  Traveling at speeds often over 100 mph, Boesing led officers for almost 60 miles along five different highways.  She eventually started to drive circles around the cop cars, often yelling and wildly gesturing at those trying to pull her over.

A PIT maneuver knocked off the Scion's bumper and caused it to spin out, but even that wasn't enough to stop Boesing.  She continued to torment police, at one point even getting out of her car, until seven police vehicles successfully pinned her in.

The ordeal lasted about an hour, ending in Las Flores.  Boesing was charged with assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer, felony evading.

Maybe they should employ her to run the war in Afghanistan. With all that nerve she could only do better than those running it now

"Boesing was charged with assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer" And now she resides at the Valley State Prison for Women with her strapping new girlfriend named Pat. "felony evading." Is it really a felony? I mean, seriously. She only had 108hp at her disposal. Not like she was driving a Vette. Cops probably could have chased her down on their police-issue Cannondales. The police really should lower the charge to misdemeanor evading.

Biggest waste of an AMG. The only concevable reason that she messed w\ THA police so hard is that she didn't care much for her car. I bet we'd have another "SUPERCAR IN FLAMES" story to comment on if that were the case.
