 2011 Buick Regal Pricing Announced
2011 Buick Regal

Starts at $26,995

Buick has announced the 2011 Regal will be priced from $26,995 in the United States.

Powered by a 2.4-liter Ecotec direct injected four-cylinder engine with 182 horsepower (136 kW), the Regal CXL features a six-speed automatic transmission, StabiliTrak stability control, and 18-inch aluminum wheels. Inside, the car comes nicely equipped with leather upholstery, 12-way power adjustable heated front seats, Bluetooth connectivity, iPod and USB inputs, XM Satellite Radio, and OnStar.

The range-topping Regal CXL turbo will start at $29,495. It has the aforementioned equipment and a turbocharged 2.0-liter Ecotec direct injected engine with 220 horsepower (164 kW).

Options include a navigation system, a Harman Kardon sound system, an internal 1 GB flash drive, and an Interactive Drive Control System (with 19-inch wheels). The latter option is only available on the CXL turbo and offers "three operating modes that adjust suspension, steering, throttle, transmission, and stability systems to personalize the driving experience."

Look for the naturally-aspirated Regal to start arriving in dealerships this spring, while the turbocharged model will be launched later this summer. Eventually, Buick will introduce an entry-level Regal CX for the 2012 model year.

No word yet on the market viability of the recently revealed 255 hp (190 kW) Regal GS show car.

With that price tag, I'm definitely going for LaCrosse instead.

"Buick has announced the 2011 Regal will be priced from $26,995 in the United States." -Kelley Blue Book just announced that when purchasing a 2011 Buick Regal, it will immediately depreciate by %50 right after you drive it off the dealer lot. :/

GM could've at least given this car a new catchy name.

Absolutely mind-boggling how STUPID the Buick guys are. I saw this car at the Detroit Auto Show and am fully aware that it's an Opel Insignia. I figured as long as they price it right, UNDER the LaCrosse, Buick can expect it to sell well. Instead, they price it $90 less than the LaCrosse (starting MSRP $27,085). Absolute idiots!

Please read the article again! The Range-topping Regal CXL is loaded and once it shifts production from Germany to Canada the entry level Regal will certainly undercut the Lacrosse by a few thousand dollars. And so what if people knows it is an Opel Insignia. The Insignia has one a lot of awards in Europe and is highly regarded. Nothing STUPID or IDIOTIC about it!

With all due respect, I did read the article. Buick will introduce an entry-level CX for 2012 model year. However, starting in March/April, when the Regal first arrives, US customers will find the LaCrosse starting at $27,085 and the Regal at $26,995. Essentially, Buick will have two cars at the same price rather than tackling two different parts of the market to draw a larger variety of customers. As a side note, I don't have a problem with the Regal being an Insignia except for the fact that this makes it more difficult to understand the brand's design language... European or heavily Japan-influenced American exterior with Chinese interior?

Seriously underpowered for that price.
