A new set of spy photos featuring the 2011 Chevrolet Aveo shows the car's interior completely uncovered for the second time.  The interior looks similar in many ways to that seen on the Chevrolet Aveo RS concept, which took the stage at the NAIAS earlier this month.

Not included on the Aveo's center console are the Bluetooth controls that featured on the RS.  Instead, this is replaced by a typical CD/Radio sound system.  However, the multi-function steering wheel, instrument cluster housing, position of the HVAC vents and controls, and storage is nearly identical.

Not seen on the test vehicle is the shiny black lacquer trim that appeared on the Aveo RS.

The 2011 Chevrolet Aveo is not expected to be launched on the market until next year.  The Aveo RS was built with a 138-horsepower 1.4-lier Ecotec engine producing up to 148 ft-lb of torque.

This will get a set of 15 inch wheels (unfortunately) and be right on par with the "cuteness" of an Hyundai accent. Should sell and a much needed up grade from the ugly duck of the past

The concept model looks like it is trying to hard to be cool, cant they jsut come up with a nice looking design that is stylish but not try hard?

As far as I know, this 2011 Chevy Aveo and the next gen Opel Corsa will be built on the same platform of which the development responsibility was given to the GM Daewoo. Current Corsa is a very refined car for its class, so if the next one is expected to raise the bar, it seems to be a big challenge for them, considering the refinement level of current Chevy small cars they have been building. By the way, new Opel CEO Nick Reilly recently talked about getting some of the small car platform development work back from the Korea but no concrete news about that yet. As a happy Corsa Sport owner and a follower of all GM cars who is surprised by the good looks of Aveo RS Concept, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for both next Corsa and Aveo.

So they took the same speedo than the Spark... Why not, but it looks cheap. Very nice otherwise

I love how it's all covered up like it's something special. It's a cheap American beer can. Who cares about what styling cues they are trying to keep under wraps. Are other companies actually trying to copy their ideas?

The car is nice, but I think the concept is better than the production version. But I hope this car would be better when the sheath is open...
