Maserati GranTurismo Convertible Pricing Announced for North America
Maserat GranCabrio

The 2010 Maserati GranTurismo Convertible aka GranCabrio in Europe is officially on sale in North America.  Customers in the US will be able to buy the car for $135,800, exclusive of taxes and paperwork.

Included in that price is the Italian automakers' 4.7-liter V8 engine producing 433 horsepower.  The engine is mated to a six-speed adaptive automatic gearbox controlled by paddle shifters.  With torque topping out at 361 ft-lb, the car is capable of a 0-62 mph sprint of 5.5 seconds before peaking at 176 mph.

New customers can choose between 14 exterior colors, nine of which are standard, six colors for the droptop, six color tints for the brakes, and ten different choices of dye for the Poltrona Frau Leather.  Chrome trim is available on the exterior, while interior trim can be completed in three different woodgrains, including Rosewood, Walnut, and Wenge.  There are over 272,000 different color combinations available on the convertible.

In 24 seconds the top can be opened or closed without ever infringing on the cabin.  The car also comes with 20-inch Birdcage wheels, active suspension, quad-tailpipe exhaust, and a rear parking alarm.  A surround sound stereo from Bose is also included.

Available now, the 2010 Maserati GranTurismo Convertible should begin popping up at dealerships across North America.

Maserati North America Announces US Pricing For GranTurismo Convertible

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., Jan. 19 - Maserati North America is pleased to announce a base MSRP of $135,800* in the United States for the highly anticipated 2010 Maserati GranTurismo Convertible.

This four-seat convertible demonstrates Maserati's expertise in the production of exclusive hand-built automobiles by providing an unprecedented level of personalization choices as standard equipment including:

  • 9 Exterior colors standard with 5 optional hues
  • 10 shades of Poltrona Frau leather for the interior
  • 6 different soft top colors (Black, Burgundy, Blue, Dark Gray, Beige and Dark Brown)
  • 3 wood trim options, Rosewood (standard), Walnut and Wenge (no costoptions)
  • 20" Birdcage design wheels
  • Skyhook active suspension system
  • Rear Park Sensors
  • Chromeline exterior trim
  • Dual-Twin Sport Exhaust system with chrome outlets
  • Bose Surround Sound System
  • Red Brake Calipers (5 other colors available as options)

A modern heir to generations of legendary open-air Maseratis, the GranTurismo Convertible breaks ground as the first four-seat convertible from the house of the Trident. The 433 hp, 4.7 liter V8 engine and six-speed adaptive automatic transmission with standard paddle shifters deliver thoroughbred performance, with the unmistakable Maserati exhaust note now unfiltered to the pilot and passengers.

Inside, the Maserati GranTurismo Convertible offers best in class rear seat room, allowing comfort and space for two real adults unmatched by other grand touring convertibles. The triple insulated soft top exactly maintains the coupe's iconic roofline, and retracts fully in 24 seconds leaving the rear seat and trunk space unchanged with the roof open or closed; its light weight helping to maintain the vehicle's low center of gravity, optimal weight distribution and precise handling.

Befitting the uniquely Italian coach built tradition defined by its Pininfarina styling, the GranTurismo Convertible further enables the owner to select from a vast array of colors, materials and trim to create a spectacular and unique expression of style including a tailored set of luggage by Ferragamo.

The 56 North American Maserati dealers are accepting preliminary orders now with deliveries anticipated for late spring. Full details are available at www.maserati.us.

*MSRP does not include taxes, title and other fees. Dealer prices may vary.

This car looks too good to be this slow. With 500bhp it could have been one of the greats. To hell with social faut-pas of making this faster than the California. I still want one bad, even though logic dictates M6 Convertible and V8 Vantage Roadster are better choices. It really is a great looking car, this.

It looks so good, that I almost prefer it to any other GT type Convertible, but it really needs more torque and power to have the GT like effortless acceleration

Completely agreed. I would even take this over the DB9. The only car that beats this IMHO is the Aston Martin DBS Volante, and by a small margin. Maybe the California as well, but I think of the California as a Supercar/GT hybrid, if you know what I mean.

I ordered my base GT almost 2 years ago and still love it. It is totally dependable and the sound is intoxicating. Yes, just like all cars, more power would be nice but this is fast enough. I would love to order a convertible. I also have a DB9 volante and I enjoy this car way more!
