Alfa Romeo Giullietta First Promo [Video]

A new promotional video for the Alfa Romeo Giulietta has been released by the Italian automaker.  The 1m 40s video shows the Giulietta from many different angles in rapid succession, from the LED lights at the back to the distinctive triangular grill up front.

Unfortunately, we see little of the car actually driving, while the "driver inside us" narrates the video.

The Alfa 147 replacement will have a choice of four different engines when the car is launched, starting with a turbocharged 1.4-liter petrol model producing 120 horsepower.

Each of the other units are all turbocharged as well, including the 170-horsepower 1.4-liter MultiAir petrol, the 105-horsepower 1.6-liter JTDM, and the 2.0-liter JTDM generating 170 hp.  A Quadrifoglio Verde unit is also expected to come out down the line, sending out a respectable 235 hp.

Alfa has not used the "Giulietta" name since the 1950s.  The public will get their first look at the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta in March at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.

the 2.0 is diesel, while the 1.4 is the new petrol stuff, yeah its bit suprising, that 170Bhp isn't so good it should be around 200-220,

I think if they released all 200-220hp, it would be too close the later Cloverleaf version.

It's a beautiful car, but it is not the right car to wear this name.

Well at least it's better-looking than the Nuova Giulietta. And every version has a Turbo! That's kinda cool. MultiAir, in a nutshell, is infinitely variable valvetiming. A full description can be found in this review: http://www.topgear.com/uk/alfa-romeo/mito/road-test/veloce-135-multiair
