Cadillac CTS-V Coupe Live in Detroit
Packs 556 hp
Cadillac has officially unveiled the CTS-V Coupe at North American International Auto Show.
Based on the standard CTS Coupe, the V variant adds restyled fascias, a bulging hood, center-mounted dual exhaust pipes, and 19-inch wheels outfitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires.
Power comes from a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine with 556 horsepower and 551 lb-ft of torque. Backed up by a six-speed manual transmission (a six-speed automatic is also available), the CTS-V Coupe can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3.9 seconds.
Look for the CTS-V Coupe to go on sale this summer with a base price of approximately $67,000 USD.

Do yourself a favor and drive an American car that isn't two decades old. Even the mustang with it's non independent rear suspension feels planted.

You are uninformed. The CTS family has handling on par with the best from Germany and it's been well reported.

Now this is an amazing machine. Finally Cadillac brings something to the table for the younger group.

Yes, It was designed by someone who only had a ruler a cheap pencil... but it turned out be somehow different... and that is a good thing! I like it!

Awesome.
But why they had to make the back into a point is beyond me. I think that it spoils the entire car to be honest. Did the designers run out of time, or get bored?
Hopefully they fix that at it's mid life face lift.

I'd pay 10k more and get a Porsche 911..Sure it's not as powerful, but at the end of the day i'm buying a car not an engine. OR for 6k less a Cayman S.

So you would prefer to spend more and get a car with carpet seats, less power and a 35/65 weight distribution?
Ohh wait it's not that, it's radmeister, you're still sour about that shitty saab you bought.

I don't even know why it surprises you, Joe Limon. It is a known fact of nature that radmeister despises everything that comes out of this side of the Atlantic, its merits notwithstanding. The first and foremost defect of this car is being American.

I don't find it hard at all to despise this poor excuse of a coupe. I won't deny that it'll probably have great performance but the looks heavily compromise the car's credibility to me. I believe I speak for many when I say I'd take any Porsche over this without second thought. It just looks nasty.

Well to each their own opinion on style. I think Porsche's look like the automotive version of Kermit the frog. I find this Cadillac much more visually appealing with its strong lines.

Porsches are among the least exciting cars in terms of exterior design. You don't buy a Porsche because it's pretty. You buy a Porsche because of its performance or quality or just because you want to show off. I would seriously never spend my money on such a bland-looking brand. I wouldn't buy the coupe version of the CTS-V either, but it is considerably more original and fresh than a Porsche. And its performance is certainly not behind Porsches of the same price range.

Am i the only person who thinks it's weird Cadillac has released no photos of the inside of this car? I mean im sure it looks just like the sedan... but Id still like to see it.
