In Germany it's being referred to as the E 500 with the 5.461-liter V8. Same engine in the U.S. is being called E 550.

everytime i see that backend i am reminded of a hyundai sonata...and it kills me to say that because the e-class is a great car. does anyone else see that?

i saw that in the pictures too and was quite disappointed by it until i saw the car in person. if you haven't already, you should look at it in the flesh if possible. the lights have a certain three dimensional quality to them and the LEDs, when lighted, make it look really good. this car is an anomaly in that sense, it doesn't photograph well but looks incredible in person.

couldn't agree more with you McNamara68. I was dissappointed when I first saw the photographs. Though few months later I saw it in flesh, and I couldn't take my eyes off it. It actually is a quite sexy car, especially compared to the previous CLK.
