Nice...The back of the car looks more like an audi A5/A4 back than the current Jetta.Overall a nice looking car.Hope it will sell it in Europe too.

Looks good... Looking forward to seeing what the new US Jetta looks like - probably a bit like this.

put an audi grille on the front and it could be an A3 coupe...

It looks like a front-wheel drive 1-Series, especially from the rear three quarter view. What's the point of having this when they already have the Scirroco? The interior looks rather boring. Kia Forte has a more exciting look than this!!

yeah looks nice, totally get the mini a5 tag, just that interior is awful, looks like the last gen passat or something could have done better

VW still hasn't got the guts to sell a proper RWD car! This is just another niche car from the niche-meister, the overpriced popular car maker that loves to sell you Golf variants with van-like interiors. At least this is a true coupe! Now, if you'll excuse me I'll have to drink coffee and stare at something exciting for half an hour to get myself together.

this is another example of how boring a car maker can be, VW, you are digging your own place at the graveyard (have you seen the GMC granite???) who is going to buy european cars when there are more interesting options (in terms of design, quality&price) coming from both sides, US and asia??? unless you are thinking of aston-martin, lamborghini or those super-cars (it?s only a mater of time with those, also-see lexus LFA......)

the US is not VW's primary concern. not even secondary.

are you serious, vw digging its own grave and you use the gmc granite as a reference point, the company that almost and would have been dead and buried now if it hadnt been for the us government....im sure it would drive as well as a vw and the interior on production cars will be made from the as the plastic in a public toilet...as for the lf-a the stupidist car ever made, no better than a gtr but 6 times more expensive, i get your point but you picked stupid examples

LOL the Granite, are you kidding me. I want to see GM make that TODAY!. It looks like a cartoon and is a design concept not a production ready example. This is ready for production. The Granite will look like the Scion XB or Nissan Cube by the time it's ready for production. Be real with yourself, all of GMs concepts are cool, but unrealistic for production. They'll maybe keep the tail lights from the concept for production, and the general shape. Thats it....Secondly, Toyota(Scion), Nissan, Kia already dominate this segment and offer better cars for a price that GM can't compete with.

and yes, the dashboard is old and ugly (it already was when this design was used in the passats and golfs beginning of 2000-even late 90?s!!!

and BMW should sue VW for that rear side window (totally 3 series coupe)!. apart from the rest being a cheap copy of its brother the A5, probably thought for wannabes. and now i?m definitely finished with it! sorry i was a bit grumpy.

This is not a bad looking car. It reminds me of the 2dr Jettas of yore. If it is indeed the new Jetta coupe, it will make a great GLI version. Oh..... And to answer your question Nederina, the Scirroco is that to the golf, as this would be to the Jetta. Just this one will have a proper trunk/boot.
