Superleggera will come with Italian flag stripes on the side and stitching on the interior carbon fiber finish to match the outside color

This is a rendering of the upcoming Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera by graphic artist Jon Sibal. The rendering, we are informed by our esteemed and trusted colleagues over at Teamspeed.com, is based on reliable info of what the Superleggera will actually look like once it makes it debut at the Geneva auto show in March.

The Superleggera will shed about 70 kg over its standard variant (if you can ever use the term 'standard' when speaking of a Lamborghini) and will come with an unimpressive 10 hp increase in power. But those missing 70 kilos will likely mark their lack of presence in the performance figures. The Superleggera will do the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in less than 3.5 seconds and will have a power to weight ratio of 2.35. The transmission will be the same gear box as in the LP560.

Distinguishing the Superleggera will be the Italian flag colored stripes on the side of the car, as seen in the image here. The model will come in 6 colors - Yellow, White, Black, Grey, Orange and Lime Green. It will come with a carbon fiber finished interior with stitching matched to the Green, Yellow and Orange for those Superleggeras. Grey stitching will have to do for the White, Grey and Black models.

I'll take one in matte black or in gunmetal. Just when you think the Gallardo couldn't look any sweeter. And the Spoiler just suits it.

Lambo's lineup is starting to look stale, when are they going to roll out a new design instead of another superleggera? It's getting old . . .

Lamborghini is on the verge of rolling out a whole new line-up. If the Estoque gets the green light, it will be the first. The reveal of the replacement for the Murcielago is imminent, and I'm pretty sure that it has been confirmed that a new Gallardo is coming as well. I'm predicting that by the summer of this year, Lamborghini's future will be open to the world. You can hold me to it.

They've joined the VAG dance: endless "special editions". The Golf has them, Porsche has them, Lambo has them, even Bugatti has them (well, technically, VAG stated each Veyron is a special edition)...

Take something great and make it even better. A recipe for perfection.

it also happens to not be true. the A3 and TT share a chassis with the Golf (altho it came in the A3 first) and the Q7 with the Touareg and that's it. all the other cars have their own chassis and aren't redressed anything. why don't you b!tch about BMW's MINI sharing an engine with a Peugeot for once?

Not worth it! just a set of stickers, painted spoilers, a wing, and 10 hp? plus 70kg lighter? bleh! dont know where's the ?x factor? on that. Is just another lp-560-4, with a change in the name and colors. I think that all this fancy thing with the name superleggera has become too much.
