Thanks GM? If Saab is such a great opportunity, why has no one acquired it yet when everyone knows it is available?

There are a lot of bidders out there allready, the guy from koenigsegg is still trying to buy parts of saab, and then you have spyker and the chinese folks.. I think GM is demanding to much for SAAB.

If i had to guess GM wants the company that buys it to honour their existing contracts for parts, which all come from GM subsidiaries..If i had to buy the brand i would shut the company down for 1 year, scrap all current models and design new ones with parts made in sweden. Screw this GM crap bin.

thanks in sarcasm. obviously GM brought something that they can't fix and left it in the backyard sales. christmas discount, 20% anyone? GM have not treasure the brand that stood for so long. they were hopeful that they can fix it. GM is bargaining for too much. now they are trying to sell an expensive historic rag.

Hey guys is it not a coincidence that SAAB has been losing money since shortly being aquired by GM in 1993...This should be a 2 car brand, with 2 variants. 9-3 hard top and conv, 9-5 sedan and wagon. Only two engine options, diesel or 2.8L V6 Turbo. That's it, not much room in the niche market.

Lol you just might have a great little idea there. Those were the bread and buttter models for Sabb at the time, so if they were to stick to that and do a good, no..... GREAT job at perfecting those models, then it just might work. Too bad, it's too late now.

Where "If not us then nobody"- philosophy leads is already known from history. It is a dangerous path you have taken, America!.
