A blatant example of a corporate dump of product (if there ever was one)

Probably would pay a dime for a dozen for the shitty saturns. It's the world's first disposable car.

I'd buy Saturn Outlook as a family car if they make it under 5 grand.

Well, it's used to be $38,000, but now it's $31,000, and I'm gonna get one! The GT though, the GXP is very cool but GT for a family car, so not too much power and gas guzzling.

Question, if pontiac and saturn are going to close, what does this mean for warranty purposes? Because if the warranty is offered by Pontiac and Saturn then you no longer have a warranty once they close. Also, if you bought a GM pre-chapter 11, then technically they have no legal obligation to provide those cars with warranty since the contract was between you and a currently non existent entity...Just a thought.

GM will cover the warranties. It would be bad business not too. Not too mention most of the Pontiac dealers sell Buick and GMC products as well. Saturn's would probably be serviced at any GM dealer.

so who's going to buy pontiac and saturn if the company is closing down?

Those are already all sold out and they haven't been importing them from down under for a while now :(

Oh my god! Don't close down yet Pontiac! I got more cars to get from you!

So if I understand this correctly, you will get up to an additional $7,000 off the lowest price at the dealership?
Does that mean an Astra could be in the range of $10,000? The article does not make this very clear

From the looks of the Saturn web site, in California they are offering $6,500 off for owners and leasees of 1990 or later GM vehicles.

Quite a bargain!! A brand new Pontiac or Saturn with the price of a used car.
