Now this is what Honda/Acura should have came out with to replace the NSX not that poor design that was first released a couple of years back. Danm shame this will never see the streets.

Who cares?! Another car that we can't buy. A super race car, getting exited about this is like waiting for the new F1 designs. Boring...

Nice! Build it Honda! But it has to be better than the Porsche 911 and Audi R8 if you are aiming for sales.

It would probably be cheaper than a top-shelf 911 or an R8, but the problem is that it would still be, say, a ?60k Honda, and badge snobs are what ruined the old NSX in the first place, even in prestige-badged Acura guise. Honda don't want to run the risk of making losses. It's why they pulled out of F1 (at what turned out to be precisely the wrong time).

So if they are building this to be street ready, will they actually sell any of these to the public?

Honda's days are in the past! They don't build anything like they use to anymore. No V-8s, V-10's, no NSX replacement, etc... boring!

dbehmoaras - The NSX has been shelved and what you see here is the race version and sadly will not build a street version

Wow, that looks mean, although the ARTA livery will probably take the menace off it a bit. I can't find any pics of the rear end though, which is a bit annoying.
I can only hope they will make a small number if it proves successful against GT-Rs and the like, even if they only sell to their domestic market where they'll definitely shift them (Then I can import one into the UK!). The Japanese Big Three (and Mazda, actually) are very good at sports cars and it's a shame there aren't so many nowadays. Just the Nissan Z and GT-R, Mazda MX-5 and RX-8 and the hugely overpriced Lexus LFA.

This vehicle will always remain as a legend. I won't mind if the new NSX came out in Hybrid form or other "green" forms (Fuel Cell, perhaps...) It would still be amazing. I really do hope that Honda could bring this onto the streets one day !!

BTW, does anyone know where that NSX prototype (the test mule that had been seen extensively tested round the Nurburgring) had gone?? Had it been converted into this HSV, scrapped, or had it been preserved somewhere in Honda ??
