All New 2010 Nissan Patrol / Safari Interior Spy Photos in Dubai
2010 Nissan Patrol spy photos in Dubai / nissan-arabia.com

Thanks to our "send a tip" function these spy pictures of the new 2010 Nissan Patrol/ Safari taken in Dubai landed in our mailbox. The Patrol has not traditionally been available in the US but it seems the new one could very well be because of the discontinuation of the similarly-sized Armada and the Infiniti QX56. Looking macho and muscular the Patrol is a direct competitor to the Toyota Land Cruiser and Mitsubishi Pajero LWB.

Although some "softer" touches such as integrated rear LED lights are included, the Patrol is still expected to be a rough and rugged off-roader. Nissan's patented All Mode AWD system is rumoured to be as easy to use as Land Rover's All Terrain system which basically requires the driver to select the prevailing road situation through a knob and just drive. From the interior shots it looks like the Patrol also retains its luxury feel thanks to equipment such as leather seats, climate control, rear-seat entertainment and satellite navigation.

Some speculation says the engine lineup will consist of a 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel producing 195kW (265hp) and 549Nm (405 ft-lbs) of torque, a 4.0-litre V6 currently used in the Navara and Pathfinder, as well as a 4.8-litre V8 which was developed for the Armada.

Thanks to anonymous and UAE Team for tip.

I hate the patrol, since 89 and this car suffers from the engine noise! You buy it today and next month it sounds like a seven years old car! Un-like the LC, the LC is more reliable and comfortable.

LED's = far more resilient to shock and have much longer life than filament bulbs. Not really softer...

Needs a V8 diesel to really compete with the LandCruiser 200 Series - both the Patrol and Pajero have fallen behind recently due to poor engine line-ups. However at least the 195kW of the new 3.0L is better than the current 4.2's circa 120kW.

The Patrol would make such a a nice Infiniti after some luxury touches... a perfect Lexus contender, really. But it seems like Nissan/Infiniti does not agree: despite what is being said here in this article, a new generation QX is being readied, with a refreshened front end that looks like an EX with hydrocephalia... the spy pictures have been making the rounds on the internet for a while now.

the car looks really awful ! the current 2009 model looks more like a dune basher than this one... yes i know nissan is trying to shape it like the armada or pathfinder... but it really just looks like a random mix of both ! the interior is looking more like a infiniti... but shouldnt be tough on the inside ? it SHOULD be a dune/off road car not another beefed up saloon

If anything, this Patrol looks like the upcoming 4Runner, I don't know which Land Cruiser model you people are talking about. You guys must be blind.

They're both hideous either way, and while I'm at it, the latest Land Cruiser isn't appealing at all either. It looks bloated and boring.
