345hp is enough, 400hp? I don't want insane torque steer, thanks very much, so stage 1 for me

Yes, torque steer immediately comes to mind when I saw the title. Torque steer is the pulling of the FWD car to one side when you step hard on the accelerator. This happens when you have a FWD car with lots of power. Since the driving axle is of different length most of the time in a FWD car, power delivery is unequal. If bad enough, it can spin the car around if you are not holding tight to the steering wheel when it happens. Of course, never heard of it happening to a RWD car.

boo hoo it torque steers. there is this amazing round thing that most cars come with to hold on to. its called a steering wheel. its an amazing invention it actually controls steering, amazing i know. if you've ever been in a high HP awd it does the same thing. i love how you all bitch about traction and torque steer. you obviously know absolutly nothing about either driving or the diff in this car.

I won't whinge about the torque steer in this car. However I will question how long the engine will last at this power? Probably just past the warranty period.

Hah, who says muscle cars can't come in the form of a Euro hatchback. It has alot of power, but it can't go round corners.

N20, that looks more like a ricer than a muscle car. Anyways, who in their right mind wants a FWD? Yuck!

The fun thing about this car is that the more power it gets, the more useless it becomes!

They should have made this thing 4wd like the cossies of yester-year. Ahh what a waste of front tires... Well at least it looks ok, for a ford.

Nice specs, but good luck getting that power on the tar mac....

If you put a limited slip diferential it will loose the torque steer like the Honda Integra or the RS by Wolf Racing http://www.worldcarfans.com/109103022777/ford-focus-rs-tuned-by-wolf-racing

LSD still wont solve the problem. It may help a bit but there will still be torque steer. Its inevitable. I agree with the idea of making it AWD to balance out all that power.

im not worried about the power. if mitsubishi's evo can handle it, im not worried about the focus rs. just look at those NM figuers: 612!!!! that is insane for this little car with FWD. a porsche gt2 has 670 nm if im not mistaking. but that's RWD. i think every RS or better said, small car tuner, should reconsider when modifyng small FWD cars. either make it RWD or give it 4wd. nice package though...

this car the focus rs has this special Quaife Automatic Torque Biasing LSD, and a specially designed MacPherson strut suspension which reduce torque steer but 4wd will make this a surprizing car to drive

I believe the biggest problem is the wheel spin. With this amount of power, you will get wheel spin whenever you throttle the car and this means you will lose almost all your traction on the front wheels when you corner and the car would just understeer off the track and that's very annoying.
