Too bad, Luca was planning to release a Ferrari Schumacher edition for the most successful Scuderia driver but too bad he is leaving.

F1 is dominated by Ferrari and Mercedes only. What's the fun watching?
December 19, 2009 7:49 am
Last year it was the Redbull Renault and the Brawn Mercedes. Looks like you are under a shell for a decade.

i am! i only catches those races in my country. yea, i should read it up. lol.
December 20, 2009 2:14 am
That`s right Michael is a traitor and I think this will be bad move for his name and career. First of all why swich from Ferrari to Mercedes, while he won most of his awards in Scuderia. Besides i think Michael is just too old to get another title but you never know what happen....
December 19, 2009 8:44 am
traitor, lol! Actually, he should've never gone to Ferrari in the first place. One could argue he was a traitor for going to the Italians rather than helping his fellow Germans.
December 19, 2009 9:13 am
I agree, even though I highly doubt he will actually race agian. The only thing that will be achieved by this is disapointed fans and disgrace to his reputaion. If he is smart he will not do this, and to the best of my knowledge, he is smart. It will be interesting to see, the only thing to lose is respect.
December 19, 2009 1:56 pm
i agree ! burn the traitor ! a professional race driver signing with another team, that's unheard of !
December 19, 2009 3:17 pm
it's about Schumaker wanting to get behind the wheel again and race. I bet Mercedes threw alot of money at him and he wanted to prove he could do it again and now we wait and see if he can drive reasonably like his old self. Ferrari should name a car after him as you just can't deny that championship history together. I know I never really thought he would sign with Mercedes but if nothing else I am sure he gets paid well win or lose. Nobody ever accused Schumaker of being stupid.
December 19, 2009 11:29 am
maybe ferrari sent him to spy on mercedes. LOL
good storyline huh?
December 19, 2009 11:50 am
he's not doing it for the money. he felt the thrill of driving when he tried to replace Massa and now he wants to get back in the game. he's like a former addict who got back to drugs. Nigel Mansell drove past his 40s and he wasn't as fit as Schumacher is.
December 19, 2009 3:25 pm
I see nothing wrong with one of the best drivers ever coming back on the grid, regardless of team. Good luck Schumacker!
December 19, 2009 12:22 pm
I'm not a Schumacher fan at all, but it will be interesting to see how he goes. He's not a traitor. Ferrari don't have a seat available - Mercedes do. And they have a history with MS, and obviously Ross Brawn too.
Ferrari wasted a commercial opportunity by not making an F430 or 599 Schumacher edition.
December 19, 2009 12:30 pm
can't wait to see the F1 car ! Brawn engineering , Mercedes engine and Schumacher's feedback, that thing will be a beast !
December 19, 2009 3:28 pm
preach it scratchy! preach it! i am so pumped to see the silver arrows on the grid, they are going to kill it next year
December 19, 2009 9:23 pm
So if the Stig is going back to full-time F1, who's going to rip the cars around the Top Gear Test Track?
December 19, 2009 3:54 pm
Schumacher is not "the stig", he was only stig for that one episode were he drove his FXX around the track.
December 19, 2009 11:15 pm
@ jerry05cod4 , Schumacher is the Stig ! some say the Stig can take control of other race driver's bodies and he can be in two places at once. also they had the proof , Schumacher knows only 2 things about ducks and both are wrong !
December 20, 2009 9:02 pm
"They think Michael is a traitor. But I will explain to them it is not Michael but another one. The real Michael is still with Ferrari." LOOOOOOL what an asshole!
December 19, 2009 4:32 pm
i really dont see the point of his returnng. and also i fail to understand why did he "retire"? better said he needed a break, right? cause from what i know, a retirement means you never come back, right? so i really dont see the point. and as much as i liked ..uhhm, whose idea was, to create an all-german team at brawn, or was it mclaren? dont remember... they selected nico till now..who is in fact finnish..and now they wanna pair schumi with him. so it would be a half german team. questio... if they wanted an allgerman team, why havent they thought at seba vettel and, maybe schumi? i think vettel has a great potential and ..he is german, right? anyhow.... i am still confused after all the scandals that happened lately in F1 and topped off by rumors vis-a-vis schumi. i just cant wait for the smoke to clear.
December 19, 2009 6:23 pm
You are incorrect, sir: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nico_Rosberg
Nico's father, Keke, is indeed Finnish, but Nico was born in Germany and is therefore by all rights German.
As for Schumacher's retirement, he was still running with the big guns when he retired, so obviously he still has what it takes to pocket another championship. Yes, he retired, but I'm guessing he grew bored quickly with not being at the forefront of competition.
Besides, Fangio raced in F1 well into his fifties, why should Schumacher be resigned to some comfy chair in his forties if he doesn't want to? Why keep an incredible talent like Schumacher out of F1, especially now when the sport is suffering from a severe drought of personalities?
Schu, I don't care if you're 73, if you want to race an F1 car then by jove, I say you race an F1 car. And while you're at it, prove everyone wrong that thinks you're over the hill. Some of us know better.

Well its like Michael Schumacher he is German but his son Mick is Swiss, maybe Keke Rosberg got nationlised to be a German who knows.
April 25, 2012 4:37 pm
Going to Germany and I'm not sure why. Seems racist to me. Why does he want the distinction of being in an all German team? Same for button. I don't want to watch them.
December 19, 2009 7:11 pm
Yeah cuz racing for the french and italian doesn't count. I guess you better not watch the olympics, i hear a rumour that all the athletes on the german team are actually german...I think you are the racist buddy, get a life.
December 20, 2009 8:18 pm
should read "Ferrari Boss reveals Schumacher to race with BRAWN (again) in 2010"
schumacher would not have gone to 'mercedes' but will go with brawn. awesome i say. imagine 3 top spec teams, sporting 4 world champions. will be awesome. and throw in vettel/webber as genuine contenders as well as massa's stolen title and we'll have a great year. podiums will be shorter too - mclaren will only need british anthem, brawn only german... (assuming mercedes are 'official' owners)
December 19, 2009 10:47 pm
Vettel and Weber are both good and have real chances. provided that Renault engine doesn't fail them again.
December 20, 2009 9:07 pm
michael is the best ever and i trust him not making anything crazy as hi is very diciplined and smart, and i also know that hi is not doing it for money(as they dont pay him good like he is used to making).
traitor he cant be as hi is going to work with his team mate Ross ,and also for his country team.
it leves only one conclusion ,the addiction think, wich is great and i cant wait to see him race again as i to am an addict to watching the champ show the others how its done.
as for ferrari namin a car after him i think they should do it and that the next best one after Enzo,he deserves it and so do fans like me who love ferrari and schumi.
good luck MICHAEL , cant wait , may the best win
December 20, 2009 1:23 pm
I'm no Shumacher fan, but this thing of the Tifosi labeling him a "traitor" borders on the idi0tic. Ferrari is an automotive brand, a corporation for the love of gawd, not some deity!
And if Ferrari wanted to keep Schumacher from leaving so bad, why didn't they give him a race seat then? Obviously Schu wants to race, and anyone labeling him as too old has no idea what they're talking about. Ferrari knew he was keen, yet they called him too old, so, who let who down here?
December 20, 2009 5:49 pm
Ferrari betrayed Schumacher first, in his last season before retirement the car they gave him was abysmal. And then when with his help they finally built a great contender car and there is the possibility for him to race again they tell him "sorry buddy but you're too old, your neck might break" The way i see it the ONLY reason why the red team is where it is is because of Schumacher, if they didnt have his wins they would of followed down the road of Lamborghini in the 90s and end up being owned by Ford or GM.. Stupid italian management, look at that clown, terrbile suit and ontop of that brown shoes with a black suit....
December 20, 2009 8:22 pm
Schumacher is a competitor and obviously wants to race again. Luca di Montezemolo is automotive royalty, and has steered Ferrari through its most profitable and successful phase. P.S. That suit is not terrible - You just need to be a rich old Italian guy to get away with it, and it's Navy Blue and hand-made, so the suede brouges are fine...
December 21, 2009 4:39 am
Bring it on! I will watch religiously again instead of half awake when Webber gets cracking. Button just 'tries' so hard it makes me want to vomit. Please Schumie, Win and shut these up starts down.
December 21, 2009 10:02 am
I enjoy Michael and his racing, i have supported/followed him since 1991. to me he is not only a world wide German celebrity but a great friend has he helped me write a book for him, he deserves to be respected and honoured to be the best formula 1 driver of his era.
