2010 Acura NSX to Live as Super GT Racer - Road Car Plans Still Dead

I am a big fan of the outgoing NSX, especially with the final R version. Honda don't make turbos, so I expect the car to do less than 380bhp and 350Nm. Even a BMW M3 could beat this Accord coupe! They should have sticked with their mid engined HSC 2003 Tokyo concept car and go after the R8, Corvettes, 911, but what they really need now is a front engined 370Z rival.

So if u look at the pic that u can see the interior in well that would be a Benz slr interior either someone at Honda got lazy or who ever made this got lazy o well but it looks nice never was a huge fan of the nsx grant it it looked like a hyper car but just not a huge fan, this one on the other hand looks less exotic but still kinda cool I'll give em one thumb up.

This pretty much means that Honda might be building a street version of the NSX; but just available to the Japanese market and in very limited quantities.

I agree with CarLife i think that the might already have one production ready just hidden away from the public

I hope they build it anyway. Honda has a long way to go to revive their sportscar Image. Maybe with the money they're saving from f1 they can sink some in motorsports R&D and we the enthusiasts can get our automaker back. Although its weird I say this as a mitsubishi guy.

Well the Honda "HSV 010", according to some sites, has a hard act to follow - the NSX raced in JGTC/Super GT from 1996-2009, winning Constructors & Drivers Championships in 2000 and 2007 and winning 36 times (there are 8 or 9 races a season), including it's last ever race at Motegi in November (fielded in day-glo orange by the ARTA team). It's also a crowd favourite, and with it's departure, due to mid-engined cars being outlawed next year, the Honda NSX is well and truly dead. It will be missed.

Honda's going all Toyota on us it seems. S2000? Dead. NSX? Dead. Prelude? Dead. Seems like their focus now is solely on FWD econoboxes, hybrids, EVs and dull as tap-water SUVs and MPVs. I want my cheap RWD roadster back. I want my Ferrari-scaring supercar back. I want the Honda of yesteryear back!
