I keep waiting for the Koreans to give up a true RWD sports sedan, with a proper 6MT tranny, to give BMW, Audi, and Infiniti a run for their money. Another Korean E-Class Merc copy I do not want.

Perhaps they're aiming a bit high, but it's nice to see that Kia is working on creating a line-up with a distinctive design language.

Kias of late are looking good, but it's all style and little substance. Let's hope the drive catches up to the looks. Then they can start thinking of sports sedans.

Carfan56- Oh I don't know about that, The GTR is a beast all on it own. Ok sur it's will not keep up with a Zonda or Lambo SV. But it is up there with the best of them.

I don't see anything wrong with the likes of Kia and Hyundai trying to move upmarket elsewhere besides their native country. Hyundai, and therefore Kia, have tremendous potential as demonstrated by many of their recent cars, espeically the Genesis coupe and sedan. Not to mention that they've actually built luxury cars for a while. Doubt them people may but they'll prove themselves in the end.

I would prefer something classy rather than a Korean luxury saloon. Something flashy like a used Arnage, which is magnificent with pedigree. Something that is not from the Eastern world.

I wouldn't be a surprised... after all Hyundai changed the way we used to perceive it

I think thats a good looking car but I dont think Kia is ready to enter the luxury sports cars market yet and if U buy this thing now the resale value of it in 3 or 4 years time is goin to be atrocious

Where are the GTRs??? I see $140,000 2010 S-Class and BMW 7 Series 2010, Porsche 2010 $120,000 often crusing around. Never have seen 2008, 2009,, 2010 GTR. Where are they??? They have been on sale long enough for them to be all over the roads. NO one cares!

The fact that you're comparing a GT-R to an S class and 7 series clearly shows you know nothing about cars.

And this is about luxury sedans anyway, and not just one, all of them. Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Porsche, Maybach, etc. vs Infiniti Acura Lexus?? ahaha

Umm, unless this will be 20000-25000 bucks cheaper then a Lexus, BMW, Merc or Cadillac, it's gonna be a fail.

carfan56, i don't think you are from north America, and you don't know nothing about cars. You should compare GT-R to 911 turbo,Audi RS4, Audi R8, they are GTR friend group, luxury sedan like bim 7 , merc S will be up to jaguar XJ, audi A8, are you clear ?

you guys keep saying about kia cant do build mid size sedan, but try to look over the car , compare all the features/price, you will see this car beats bim 5, lexus GS, audi A6 ...,im not saying about handling and stuffs, you dont need these things in mid size sedan , price is a main factor to drive kia up to upper market in range .
