Oh mai Gawd, Romainia's idea of a Cadillac Escalade!
Those fender flares are the only thing I like. the rest is meh.

I think u're just a frustrated romanian _ The overall design looks better than I assumed. I like it!
December 8, 2009 2:49 pm
Yeah .. you are surely a frustrated romanian that only knows to criticise the Dacia brand, whatever it does ..

What are you guys on about? First of all, I am not romainian. I was just saying the brand Dacia is Romainian, and the Caddy thing as a joke. And I do not purposely critize the Dacia. I just think there are much better looking small SUV's out there.

more better looking? like what smartass, the x1, x3... (cant think of much more). and pls dont compare a cadillac with dacia. they are not in the same market, class or whatever... this duster will be at 15 grand (euros) with all options. if you think there is a better car in this class for this money pls find it, ill buy it and offer it to you as a gift.

I like it! I think it looks funky and cool. Definitely better looking than BMW's X1 or the VW Tiguan - cheaper too. Their design is very original indeed.

The rear lights is all copy from Nissan Xterra lights, not very original at all.
December 8, 2009 2:30 pm
Ah, actually that's not entirely true... Starting from the front end and, finishing with the rear end suspensions its all NISSAN signature.

I might say that for a country where the economic situation isn't very good, the political scene is very unstable and the GDP is one of the smallest in EU, having such a good product as Dacia is now - for export, is surely helping the country alot ! Let's say also that many germans, french and italian are very satisfied with their 5000 EUR - 8 000 EUR new cars (with scrappage schemes). I guess you can't buy a Nissan SUV (even x'trail) with less than 15.000 EUR, right? We will live and see if the car will be a succes, i like it and i think i will buy it.

I wonder if TopGear will latch onto this one too? There's already an ice racing version, so that should at least get a mention.
Personally I don't like the "face". The headlights look a little squashed in and the chrome bit is too high. In fact, it looks kinda cross-eyed. The rest looks pretty normal tbh, although those roof rails are a little Nissan Navara-ish, but since Dacia is owned by Renault who is partners with Nissan via Ghosn, I'll forgive it that.

I don't know, I actually like the way it looks. I was expecting it to be more like a cheap copy of the x-trail, but this has its own "personality". Great job Dacia !

Looks ok, put some fat 30 inch off road tiers on it and that's it.

One man's junk is another man's teasure.
I am in the minority with how much I enjoy station wagons.
December 8, 2009 7:49 pm
"and we have the full details inside" but where are the interior pics?
December 9, 2009 9:52 am
Ugly design. Waste of time and money. i hope they have good designer and authorities are design senseless.

Nissan and Renault have good designers. If this car with this price would have looked nice, would not be sold any Koleos and Quasquai. However, the inrerior is awful
