It looks boring already except for the pic #15 & #16 & they even beat the mercedes alphabet like Class A,B,C,CLC,CLS,CL,E,G,GL,GLK,M,R,S,SL,SLK,SLS,V etc.

Ok so you prefer cars with stupid and completely unimaginative names? like Impala, Malibu, Traverse, Five Hundred, Mountaineer, Escalade, Sierra, Suburban, Town & Country, etc?

I didn't say unimaginative names are stupid & few names suit well like Sierra, Suburban, Town & Country, in which we know what vehicle looks likes.

Loyo, you are a complete idiot and a shameless bigot for making this yet another matter of US vs EU. It's not about that. Who the hell even said that Americans are the only ones who don't name cars with idiotic, uncreative numbers and letters? Plus, it's much better to name a car with a sonorous word (whether it be Mustang, Diablo, Veyron, Accord, Phaeton, Sonata, Fiorano, Town & Country, or Challenger) than with a cold, dry set of letters or numbers. And don't get me wrong, I've been a huge fan of Mercedes-Benz for all my life, but that doesn't mean I think cars should be named C, CL, CLK, CLS, CLR, etc. I DO know that those letters have meanings, but it just sounds like making cars is like making dishwashers.

Andres2007, don't mind loyo. you can call the MB cars by their full name if you don't like their abbreviations. like the G=Gel?ndewagen , SL=Sportlich und Leicht , SLK=Sportlich und Leicht Kompact, etc.

we don't need most of audi models.. A1 - 8.... half of them are redundant
another copycat of CLS

Another copycat of the CLS that looks better, will drive better, and will be an overall better car.

They don't need the A5 Sportback simply because it is just a bloody A4 saloon that sits four even with less rear headroom.

I don't really get the difference between the A5 Sportback and A7. The Audi range has become way too cluttered and diluted to me; it's like there's no focus.

I'm surprised Audi hasn't made a serious go at a full-size coupe (Benz CL, Scaglietti even). The A7 should be that vehicle based off the 8. You could even do a convertible version to go after the SL. The old A8 Coupe was gorgeous. This CLS-wannabe (while I can see how Audi's quality would steal Benz customers) is in a segment where there isn't that much to go after.

Sorry for the late reply, but yes there is an A8 Coupe. Wiki says there is only one officially (commissioned by Audi through a design house for Geneva to test potential consumer response), but I thought the Sultan of Brunei had one or whoever it was that had the convertible Benz CL done as well. It was refinished in aluminium-like coating I think. A photo of the official completed project can be seen on the A8's Wikicars page.

Perhaps it's just me but their desing direction was really pushed too far to the extreme with this car. I mean it seems UGLY.

Not enough of a market for the A5 Sportback? As an owner of an A4, these guys don't know that they're talking about. I would have bought an A5 Sportback over my A4 any day. Look how well the CC has sold in the U.S. Doesn't Audi NA realize that the people buying A4s aren't filling up the back seats anyway?

My, My, My all you marketing experts. I love reading all these silly comments about Audi developing too many models. There is a huge shift underway... and that my friends has happened in every market segment we live in. It's called "fashion"! The level of manufacturing has risen to the level that allows variety versus compromise. It's a "Consumer" market, and with advanced Engineering, Design and Manufacturing capabilities, these different models allow companies like Audi to reach many niche markets.
So my guess is those who gripe about have choice are just frustrated they can't have or afford any of them.
These are the same folks who have forced all car manufacturers to produce such "boring" colors as well. So all of you go buy your BLACK on BLACK mass produced auto, and feel safe that that's what everyone else is driving too!
Wake up people the world has changed!
