This is a weird article. Reilly was at Vauxhall for ages. And Opel has the Agila which doesn't get a mention.

Agila is a Suzuki and hardly falls into a 'mini' classification. Opel needs it's own product and Luton would be a great place to build it.

Whilst I don't doubt Luton's capability for building such a vehicle, they need a far eastern partner with small car know-how, such as TATA or Suzuki. If GM could muster the cash, they should launch a take-over bid for this firm before VW does.

The Agila/Splash is more a B-Segment MPV, than an A-Segment hatchback.
