Some people are just suckers for limited editions. But I have to say this car looks really really good.

I've always love Range Rovers, they are so beautiful, none of its competitors X5, ML, Q, come close in styling. Just wish the reliability was much better, probably why its kept me from owning one in the past.

I thing Range Rivers are a classic but there are several other SUVs that look way better than this one...to be honest this looks like an older Ford product from the front and a Jeep product from the side...

...LED lights are technology and not invented by Audi. Incandescent, Halogen, Neon (tail lights), Xenon came before LEDs and there will be new tech that will replace LED lighting. What i want to know is why is Audi copying Cadillac with their LED pipe lighting?

Audi didn't invent LEDs but was the first company to use them mainstream as DRLs on the pre-facelift S6. It's disappointing to see every other company incorporate them into their cars as well. I found the LEDs to be a very unique aspect of Audi vehicles.

I love Audi, but even I am not naive enough to believe they invented the LED or Turbo. LEDs are oldschool technology from 1960s used for computers. I believe the first car to have full LED headlights and running lights was the Lexus LS600h-L. And the first production automobile with a turbo were some shitty GMs. Daimler invented the modern day supercharger on a combustion engine and still holds the patent to today. Audi was the first at many things, but not those.

Clearly, fatty knows 'shxt' about cars. Look at BMWs from the 90's. They all looked alike. Chris Bangle set out to differentiate them and he was successful. Audi's signature grille has only been around for about 6 years. "audi was the first auto company that copies every idea from others, e.g. A5, Q7, R8, TT, A1, A7 etc etc..." - what exactly did they copy? How is that copying ideas from other companies? And guess what. Audi was founded 7 years before BMW even existed. OMG SO BMW IS COPYING EVERYTHING AUDI OMGOMGOMG. Who am I kidding. It's useless trying to argue with an idiotic BMW fanboy like yourself. Hopefully you'll grow up one day.

Audi didn't invent LEDs, they were however the first company to put them into full production in their headlights. Taillights don't count. LS600 became the "first" to put them on the road, but they are only low beams. R8 was THE world's first to have fully LED headlights (lowbeam, high beam). So that makes AUDI a pioneer in LED headlights. Case closed.

I applaud Audi on a lot of things and have great respect for them. For some reason, I just can't see myself ever owning one. Guess I've always been a BMW guy at heart as far as german cars go. Plus I am spoiled by the way they drive compared to Audi. Now if only BMW could make an interior as nice as Audi, lol.

@danat86@ thanks!!! Finaly someone who now something about cars. and AUDI was the world's first car to have in production: LED, quattro, turbos, aluminium body, ceramic break discs even the wheel in left side did first AUDI, and there is more.... Daimler invented the modern day supercharger on a combustion engine and still holds the patent to today. Sorry @radmeister@ but thats nearly the same like turbos, just diferent name, we not count that.... there is only one question? what others did for car industie??? Audi even Start use disel first for for cars like Audi 80 and 100 when others use disel only for trucks and farmers machinery... in 2006 Audi made R10 went to LeMans and win stright away, when others like Merc and bMW onlu end of 2009 considering disel for M and AMG models, is thats funny than all this means that in germany is only one leader at the moment an thats AUDI. Merc and bMW was in last centuary. and @fattychrisbmw@ you better shut up you are out of date already, and guess what all bMW looks the same shxt, all Merc looks the same shxt, all volvo looks the same shxt, all peugeots looks the same shxt, thats why its call Audi or bMW or Merc, becouse they are brands and that idiot like you can see differents

Audi has Quattro yes but that's just their name for their four-wheel drive system; the Audi Quattro (1980) is far down the line from the first four-wheel drive vehicle in history ("The first four-wheel drive car, as well as hill-climb racer, with internal combustion engine, the Spyker 60 H.P., was presented in 1903 by Dutch brothers Jacobus and Hendrik-Jan Spijker of Amsterdam") Audi wasn't the first to use turbos in their production cars ("The first production turbocharged automobile engines came from General Motors in 1962") Apparently Audi weren't the first to use Diesel engines in production cars ("Mercedes-Benz in conjunction with Robert Bosch GmbH produced diesel-powered passenger cars starting in 1936") Turbochargers and superchargers are similar in principle but their not the same thing; superchargers have existed for longer than turbochargers for one and the supercharger's existence can be attributed to Gottlieb Daimler ("first functional supercharger attributed to German engineer Gottlieb Daimler, who received a German patent for supercharging an internal combustion engine in 1885") - ("The turbocharger was invented by Swiss engineer Alfred B?chi. His patent for a turbocharger was applied for use in 1905") "1998: BMW makes history by winning the 24 Hour Nuerburgring race with the 320d"; a good 8 years before the Audi R10 won it's maiden race at the 2006 12 Hours of Sebring. * quotes sourced from Wikipedia

Aluminium body was the first time used in a production car by the Honda NSX, so you fail again.

Though this webpage is supposed to be dedicated to the new Range Rover Sport Autobiography model, I can't help reading about the Audi argument. Even their global marketing slogan spells out their philosophy not just in German, but also in plain English, 'Vorsprung durch Technik' (Technology through innovation). Audi's product placements in Sci-fi movies are an allusion to forward thinking. LED lights (plagiarised by a plethora of car firms, including Range Rover) are just a tip of the iceberg of Audi 'firsts'. They can successfully make world first car to drive itself up the legendary Pike's Peak mountain with a new TT!
