Looks excellent. Can't wait for the coupe. What a shame though. The convertible, based on the pre-facelift model, just came out so recently. Can't suppose anything but bad timing.

The old coupe was the G35. The facelifted coupe (G37) was introduced as an 09 model at the end of 08. It has been on the road all year. The facelifted sedan in this story is just catching up with the coupe in terms of design.

Typisch nissan interior design. Exterior? yuck!Performance? Sure its less then benz, BMW, etc like it has always been

Yeah it might be less than a Benz/BMW that costs 10grand more, but if you actually take the time to do the research instead of posting misleading comments, you'll see that the G37 is priced against the 328 and the C300, and the performance is actually as good if not better than the German equivalents that are in fact about 10grand more than the German equivalents. Think of it this way: for the price of a similarly equipped A4 2.0T, you're getting performance that is competitive with the base S4, C350, and 335. Looks are subjective, I think it looks good, and the interior is a nice place to be for any amount of time.

Very Japanese interior and bulbous design.

You cannot compare features Japan to German. For example, on paper one has leather, and the other one has leather as well. One of course German will have a much finer top grain leather with more durablity but that doesn't show on the spec sheet. Just leather shows. Same for everything else in the cars.

Don't forget: for every inch of better leather in the German car, there's an extra electrical engineer tucked away in the Japanese car...

+1 to you benzman! Germans may be known as the best engineers, but you can never discount the extremely underrated talent of the Japanese. I myself prefer the german cars, but there is no denying that Infiniti has made some very, very impressive cars, at even more impressive prices. In fact, I'm looking to lease a G37X within the next year or so, especially over the 328xi (keeping an open mind for the 328 though because I have yet to test drive it, and I will before I make a definite decision) or A4-2.0T. A friend of mine has a current G37X coupe (which he got on my recommendation), and that has to be one of the best handling cars I have ever driven, it's deceptively quick, and did I mention the price? Remember, these are the people that engineered the GTR.

I think it is pretty funny when people say it looks "very japanese," as in interior or exterior, etc.. Of course it looks japanese, IT IS JAPANESE for crying out loud!! LOL!!!!

Guys i got G35 , 2008... to say the truth, the car is unstopable at high speeds... I have raced cherokee srt-8, mustang GT, bmw 335, and beaten them all....... in most races we start at a hight speed, like 100 km/h... the biggest loser is mustang GT koz the car is amazing only in the 1st and 2nd gear, afterwards it's easy to pass by it... i measured my car acceleration few times and the average is 5.5 seconds 0-100km/h.....

Some comments on here are outrageous!!! Most german cars, aside from maybe Audi don't even come with LEATHER. It's leatherette and leather is optional. And even if it did come with leather some don't MATCH the japanese. How do I know. Because I've owned both and currently have 2 German cars, a 335i, and a 997 Porsche 911. The 335i's dakota leather to me, isn't even in the same league as Lexus's or Audi's IMO. In mercedes don't even bother, you need the nappa and the C class leatherette is a joke. Best leather seats are the silk nappa's in the Audi as far as german cars go!! Lexus beats out IMO, all german cars in build quality and craftmanship and Audi is the only one that rivals them. All my opinion of course, but I am going by actually owning these cars. Case in point, just because it's GERMAN doesn't mean it uses better material, quality, etc.. Might be in the past, but not anymore! And for the record, in it's class the G37 destroys EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE BMW! That's it, Mercedes, Audi, Lexus, none can match the Infiniti!!

90% agree with you. 90 because it also destroys the BMW: on paper, the G37's direct competitor is clearly the 335. And the fact of the matter is, once everything is taken into consideration, the difference between the two is ultimately negligible. So as it stands, it's a tie. But then comes the price and bang for buck factor. The G37 competes (and IMO is better than) the 335, but the G37 price competes against the 328. That's its party piece.

Don't speculate, go have some seat time on all these different cars before posting things that are not true and hysterical, lol!! "finer durability, lol!!! All perception! Go sit in a Lexus or an Acura, even in the new Infinti's, not the old ones, and come back and tell me how they compare to german cars. Not driving feel, looks, etc.. Just quality, leather, whatever you want to compare, and you'll be surprised. Some probably won't acknowledge it still because it's japanese, which is a shame.

Also agree. To all: test drive the G37 with an open mind before commenting. Having driven it, against the C300 and the A4 (haven't gotten to the 3er yet, though if I do it will be the 328 because the 335 is too $$$), the G37 is IMO by far my favorite.

If they facelift this model anymore IT WILL LOOK LIKE BARBARA WALTERS. Please Stop! Either give us a totally new design or nothing at all. This constant facelifting is a nightmare for people ready to turn in their leased G for a better and different G.

"dbehmoaras," good to see some people actually have some sit time in these cars, lol. G37 and 335i is really close, I agree. The thing I didn't like about the G37 was the motor, VQ, I know, many will disagree, but to me, it was really rough and crude. I guess any V6 motor is when compared to a I6, but the drive of the G37 is VERY good. I however, just like I6's and it came with turbo and I love the torque on the 335i. The IS350 is another that is not bad at all, but if I had to rate them it would be, of course IMO, it would be 335i, G37, IS350, Audi A4, and last MB C350.

I agree the engine is a little harsh compared to the I-6, but the G37 begs me to drive it like a hooligan so it's ok for me haha.

Funny the Audi S4 competes with the 335i, haven't driven one yet, but seen one at the dealership. Pretty nice and it was priced at 54K I believe. Wonder how that would compare to the G37??

I thought it was kinda ugly and misguided before. Now its too indifferent and plain. Talk about low self-esteem having company. About average for luxury brands I guess.
