A nice, good looking, compact cheap car, that will make some cash for GM.

As ever, GM chasing the past... Its own (here, forget about the Cobalt now! And the Cavalier! And the Vega and Corvair too!) as well as the competition it seemed to benchmark. This looks like a perfectly nice effort and the interior photographs well (though so does the Buick LaCrosse until you touch it and find rough edges, flimsy pieces and plasticky chrome). But c'mon, circular taillamps in 2011? And this car is *still* 9-10 months away?

From EU point of view - ugly. And it copies OPEL a lot, so thank the designers from Europe for the few normal lines that it has.

The real test will be the way the car drives and the feel of the interior. The grill is corporate chevy cars as are the tail lights. I don't like the way the headlights look, they're not integrated well with the rest of the front end. Comparing it to the Focus is not right, next year this will compete with the Fiesta (Euro design) while we wait for the updated Focus. Remember the US might get the VW Polo, and Mazda 2 next year so the competition in this class is heating up. Good luck Chevy!

I like it and like the design in/out. Good effort from GM (Even if it was brought from another model) for me, design wise, it beats the corolla, civic, and mazda 3 and the koreans as well. Hope it drives/performs well too

it's just ok, pass grade, not fail. nothing ground breaking, not raise the bar or brenchmark...so, what's the point? & it's still 9 to 10 months away? it's way too late...this is yet another Cobalt/ Cavalier...i don't think it can steal much sales from Civic/ Corolla/ Golf/ Mazda3/ Sentra (names go on & on)...not even Kia Forte!! in this highly competitive compact market, it's bound to fail. simply saying: NOT GREAT ENOUGH.

Thank God they got rid of that cobalt... This one is still mediocre, but at least is better than the cobalt and like some said here, it looks way batter than the plasticized US focus

Not that bad, but then again, not that good. Looks like rental-car fodder.

Does autoficianado mean "It comes across as a clean cut Korean"? The only thing American about this baby is the badge. Nice interior though.

I've already drived the Cruze, and believe me its a good car, and it is a very good looking car. It drives and looks so much better than a boring corolla or the US focus... LOL... The interior is badass, although it still uses some hard plastics like the camaro, you can still feel the overall good quality of the car when your inside the cabin... nice work for GM...

This car screams "American" with the goofy front. And that's not good. But the rest of it seems ok. Much better than the other crap that's been coming out of Detroit.

I have been driving a Holden Cruze for about 5 months now and i can tell you the 1.8 litre engine is a nail but the rest of the package is well up there on the competition. Corolla, civic, Focus and all the others are boring. It has been selling very well here in Aus about 2200 a month which is very good.

I live in Europe and can tell you, that It may has a better look and better interior as the European Focus has, but will never compete with it in terms of engine or suspension. And you can get leather seats for a very reasonable price - okay - but i would rather have cloth seats, but a car that performs better than average in this class. It well be better than the Cobalt for sure, but the Cobalt was much better than the Cavalier but still was average from the introduction to the end of it's lifecycle

I think Chevy did a good job with this over the cobalt. I feel that they need to find their target group and design a car to meet those needs. Mazda3 is about spirited driving, honda civic is about practicality and offers the si. People have to feel emotionally connected to a vehicle. Every brand has their own identity in this segment except American manufacturers. Its funny how they always make commercials talking bad about the competition...just make a better car. and don't say "may the best car win" because the best cars HAVE BEEN WINNING. Its main competition is from the hyundai elantra
