There's confusion already with all these SLK variants in the pipeline. However, Merc need to make money, but hopefully not at the expense of product cannibalism! Judging by the grille disguise, it will have the retro nose of the current SL. Therefore, it could be the new SLK.

its the slk, remember the SLS started off in a dodge viper body (because it was being build from the ground up), this is clearly an SLK updated

Is it possible that the new SLK will have the design of the SLS and will therefore be both of the above mentioned cars?

It makes sense from platform and product development standpoints to use the slk platform for more than 1 model

I have a lot faith with the C-Class chassis that it sits on. The new car has a Z4 long nose, short tail body proportion with four of its wheels pushed closer to the bumpers. Then there's the 6.2 AMG V8 engine. I also would like to see an M-Coupe/Crossfire-like version of the SLK like what Porshe did the Boxster with the Gayman.

I think it is SLS baby, because the small side window behinde the passenger window never been used in the SLK.

it's the SLK , it has a folding roof. the baby SLS will be a modified SLK with a fixed roof.

Mercedes' sports coupe lineup is getting very tight, SLK-SL-SLS-SLR, fitting a baby SLS in could mean ditching the SLK

why do you think the SLK will look like the SLS? You can see nothing on these pictures...it couldeven look like a Lancia Thesis and we wouldnt see it xD
