Mercedes Honours 75 Years of Race Car Carriers

The classic Lo2750 from the 1930s and the replica of ?The Blue Wonder? from the 1950s flank the current Mercedes-Benz Actros.
The sports car engine of the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL in ?The Blue Wonder?: The six-cylinder unit with an output of 141 kW (192 hp) propels the racing car carrier to an outstanding maximum speed of 170 km/h.
The plain and cramped interior of the Mercedes-Benz Lo2750 corresponds to that of most trucks in the 1930s.
Chequered sports seats and a mix between the sporty 300 SL and the unassuming Mercedes-Benz 180 passenger car - a view of the surprisingly comfortable ?workstation? in ?The Blue Wonder?.
The engine of the Mercedes-Benz Lo2750: 51 kW (70 hp) sufficed in the 1930s to transport the fast Silver Arrows to racetracks throughout Europe.

the blue wonder is gorgeous- with all these SL tributes around maybe they should make a fast truck tribute to that... the Actross is dull in comparison though :-(

The Blue Wonder actually seems more recent than the Actros, despite being 54 years older!! Mercedes-Benz, my goddess: time for you to make a 21st-Century "Blue Wonder"! Obrigado ;-)

The Blue Wonder amazingly has shades of 300 Gullwing design cues at the front, including the wheel arches. Incredible stuff! No wonder the whole global car industry is enraptured with retro design influences.
