Underground Racing has shown off their twin-turbocharged Lamborghini Gallardo 'Race Version'.

Created for a client named Jonah, the twin-turbo Gallardo (dubbed the TTG) produces a stunning 1500 WHP (at 30 psi) on VP C16 racing fuel. If that isn't impressive enough, the TTG is probably producing 1875 HP at the crank - when you consider drivetrain loss of around 25 percent.

Backed up by a six-speed transmission, Jonah was able to post a sub-ten second time through the quarter mile at a speed exceeding 160 mph. As Underground Racing is quick to point out, it was the first time Jonah drove the car after the modifications and he hasn't been to a drag strip in over a decade.

First time driving the car, since the modifications and he has not been to drag strip in over a decade...... Boy; I'm sure the feeling must have been euphoric for him.

what exactly "sub-ten second" means? because there are lot of cars which need bit less power for "sub-ten second" times. around 1000hp less.

there are something wrong with these numbers. 160mph is really, really slow for 1875hp and there are lots of cars, which needs less than 1000hp for "sub-ten second" times.

for me, the 1500crank /1100whp seems much more realistic

"sub-ten second," as in a quarter mile time of under ten seconds. VERY quick for a street car.

And a 160mph quarter mile trap speed for a non-purpose built drag car is VERY fast. Quarter mile trap speed is far more indicative of a car's power than the time it posts.

Also remember that those purpose built drag cars that run high-nine quarters with much less power don't trip the lights at anywhere near the 160mph that this Lambo does. That's because they get off the line better due to a fully optimized chassis designed to do only one thing, go in a straight line.

Are you sure it's RWD? If so, I need to edit my post.

starting at 0:46 in the video...the car is clearly strapped to a 2-wheel dyno, not a 4-wheel dyno. plus, only the rear wheels are spinning.

tuners sometimes disable the AWD for dyno tests.

Honestly not impressed. There's no point to having 1500bhp, and the fact that the car loses 375bhp because of the chassis just shows how bad the engineering is. I personally think that the Superleggera is a bigger achievement than this. Don't say I'm jealous because I really am not. If I wanted a car that had that much horsepower, than I would get a car that was built for the purpose. Bugatti anyone? And quite frankly, I'm not that impressed with the quarter mile time either. I love Lamborghinis, but I hate people who ruin them.

holy S^%$T. thats is sick. You can even see the tire pressure build up when he's on high revs. danm. love to see this on a drag strip and time attack.

this gives an impression: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BwIniaHIUE&feature=player_embedded - 9.11s for the quarter mile. of course there are faster cars, but I like the totaly standard look on this one

what other mods to really support this car's HP? i looks like the HRE, tires, or even brakes will not really stand those sort of HP.

what's the point of having 500hp? if it comes to this, 100 would be plenty enough to drive around. if somebody wants to have 1500 - so what?

The rear wheel felt like coming off in 3rd gear! So, it's a RWD alright, but with 1500hp it should keep standard 4WD! It sounds like a truck and plane superturbocharged engine; it could have taken off literally! See why Ferarri is considering a return to Twin Turbo power? It's a WWIII started by the mighty Veyron and the end is nowhere in sight. NFS should apply to Jonah's UR to have this car in their game. Best thing about this Gallardo is its standard look; Audi should be impressed.

I love nothing more than to see some ridiculously expensive car been messed with! Its awesome... there is no point to having so much power or even a cra like that so y not boost it! Its a toy and playing with it is what ever it means to the owner!

Not impressed at all since Lingenfelter took a 2009 Corvette ZR1, did some minor upgrades by increasing supercharger boost, increased cooling and the car put out 739 horse at the wheels and did the 1/4 mile in 10.03 seconds at just over 141 mph. They are working on a better clamping clutch which is its weak link right now and then it will put it in to the 9 second range... without race fuel. A bone stock ZR1 did the 1/4 in 10.85 seconds just last month
