To quote an earlier press release; "USF1 will showcase the greatest American drivers available"....
...With a Spaniard and a Canadian... (guess they couldn't get a hang of those right turns...).

The Argentine motoring press has been talking for months about ex GP2 driver Jos? Mar?a "Pechito" L?pez' talks with USF1. Villeneuve and Pechito would be a killer duo.

My guess is you're right. Pechito appears to have signed pending him earning some more sponsor cash and they need Jacques for the experience and to win the focus of North Americans.
