BMW marked a milestone by building the 5,555,555th 5 Series car since the series launch in 1972. The particular 525d xDrive Touring in question will be donated to the Bavarian Forest National Park, the oldest such reserve in Germany. The 24,000-acre nature reserve was created in 1970 as a haven for nature. It hosts about 800,000 visitors per year and boasts such attractions as wild animal enclosures and more than 300km of hiking trails.

The car will be suited to its new home since it features BMW's xDrive all-wheel technology, power output of 145kW (197hp) and an average fuel consumption figure of 6.9 litres per 100km. C02 emissions are quite green at 184g/km. An all-new 5 Series, spied numerous times including here, here and here, is scheduled for launch some time in 2010.

"The 24,000-acre nature reserve was created in 1970 as a haven for nature"... well, that and a really frickin tall man made structure that looks like the framework of a stage prop from U2's 1997 PopMart tour.

Regarding the picture above: That man in the main photo sure does look happy, and maybe a little too smug if you ask me. Let's replace that 5,555,555th 5-Series with the 666th Krom Edition Nissan Rogue and see how long that smile lasts.

the oldest nature reserve in germany only dates back to 1970? seems unlikely

They forgot to mention that the 5-spoke wheels are fitted to the drivetrain with 5 nuts, and that the car seats 5 passengers, each with 5 fingers in each hand and 5 toes in each foot. BTW the Bavarian Forest National Park will replace this car in exactly 5 years

His comment went right over your head. Try being less ignorant, you'll go farther.

Actually it went right over yours. You think BMW's made more 5 series cars than the number of cars Audi has made in its lifetime? Typical ignorant comments of BMW fanboys.

Holy hell... you are that stupid.

And so are you. You can't even refute my argument. Stupid BMW fanboy.

Your argument is based on your arrogance making it invalid. In numerous BMW articles people talk about Audi being better. His statement is a subtle hint at the stupidity they show (like yours) trying to shove their opinion down everyone's throat.

Can you read? His statement was that BMW has made more 5 series cars than Audi has made in its entire history. That just clearly shows his ignorance and irrational dislike for Audi, which led me to my comment. The only ignorance and stupidity that is being show in this case is that of BMW fanboys like him and yourself.
