Toyota has announced plans to introduce the redesigned 2011 Sienna minivan at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
While details are limited, our spies have previously caught the model undergoing hot weather testing in the American desert. Unfortunately, the styling differences appear so subtle that it's virtually impossible to determine what will differentiate the 2011 model from the 2010 version.
Based on a modified version of Camry platform, the new Sienna is expected to grow a few inches in length for improved passenger room and increased cargo capacity. The Camry underpinnings also mean the minivan will likely be powered by a 3.5-liter V6, with 268 hp and 246 lb-ft of torque, and possibly a hybridized 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 147 hp and 138 lb-ft of torque.
Look for more information to be released when the model is officially unveiled in December.

As a company committed to building exceptionally well-made vehicles for our customers, particularly those in the 95 and older age demographic, we have decided once again to raise the bar of customer expectation and offer them a truly revolutionary new product. For 2011 our customers will be able to equip their new Seinna with an optional "rear window hearse simulation package." We at Toyota are very excited to offer a product to our elderly customers that will help them grow accustomed to riding in a hearse. We belief that the new 2011 Sienna will help ease their transition into the afterlife so that when the Grim Reaper inevitably arrives on their doorstep he will be greeted with open arms and maybe even some fresh baked cookies. Thank you for choosing Toyota.
