McLaren has announced the US launch of the MP4-12C is on schedule.
This directly contradicts earlier reports, which indicated the US launch was going to be delayed because the company has having problems setting up a dealer network. Instead, a McLaren representative said "... if discussions so far are anything to go by, we're not going to be short of people who want to retail the brand for us in the US."
Despite the denial, McLaren confirmed they will not be displaying the MP4-12C at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The company apparently decided it was too early to show a vehicle that won't go on sale until summer 2011.
As we have previously reported, the MP4-12C is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces approximately 600 hp and 600 Nm of torque.
