Chrysler Outlines 5 Year Fiat Based Product Plan

Judging from their future line-up models, I have no faith in Chrysler-Fiat group. They will never learn! They should sell small fuel-efficiency cars to compete with the dominating Koreans and the Japanese. There's no way they could compete with the Germans and the upmarket Japanese and Korean on the luxury markets. They need volumes, and that is where the small compact cars represents not big trucks, V8 pick-up trucks or even a viper. This implies to GM and Ford too!

Nederina: Chrysler-Fiat should do what they are doing. You don't rebuild an 88 year old marque by just selling large numbers. What they should do is sell Chrysler as a middle level lux. brand (Acura and Infiniti), Dodge as mass appeal brand (think Ford, Chevy, Toyota, Honda) and Jeep as a dedicated off-road brand(against everything up to Land Rover). By differentiating the 3 brands they cover more market share. What the real hurdle will be is the perception that the cars are worth it. More sales at a lower price doesn't mean quality (ask hyundai and kia).

Who cares about their plan, only one thing there caught my eye, Fiat 500 in 2010, convertible 2011 and Abarth in 2012 ;)

Maybe the redesign of the Jeep Wrangler will bring some people back to the brand. I was pretty disappointed with the JK. After driving one this past summer I decided to buy a used TJ instead. The quality just wasn't there. Quality is a huge issue with American car brands, if they can fix that and make cars that appeal to the masses then maybe they have a chance.

Man the new WCF image system is rubbish, its a pain to open pics especialy bigger versions with the flash version. they need the old system back. or im permanently gonna be at GTSPIRIT
