Troy Sumimoto and his Five Axis team are back for the 2009 edition of SEMA. Last year they did some very crowd-pleasing work on the Scion xB by turning it into a specialised motorised DJ urban SUV. They have put their skills into an xB again and made some updates.

The show car is painted in a custom BASF colour called Mixed Molten Lava Red, fitted with Five Axis Design 3" fender flares, a modified 4-piece lip kit and one-off dual exhaust. It runs on custom 18-inch deep dish wheels shod in 225/50 R18 front and 275/25 R18 rear Yokohama Advan Sport tyres.

Passengers can enjoy some comfort through Sparco Chrono Road seats and a Pioneer AVIC-Z110BT multimedia unit with powerful speakers.

Being a DJ special the xB DJ 2.0 is installed with equipment such as two Pioneer CDJ 2000 Professional multi players, a DJM 800 Digital DJ mixer and a 2000W custom loudspeaker system.

Four of the five most recent articles on WCF feature tuned Scion xBs... just pointing it out.

Ah, yes, SEMA... the week every year where WCF is to avoided at all costs. It's like every kid gets the chance to show their doodles while the rest of us look on bemused and bored forcing a "yeah, it's good" every now and again through gritted teeth.

Back to this Scion; I didn't know Postman Pat aired in the US?

Postman Pat must have turned gangsta when he went to America.

Indeed. Why spend so much time for adds of kitchen appliance oddities?

Seen a sneak peek with this fender flare on some other website, the kit is already out.
