Well, it's closer to the original 300 SL Gullwing, but I still have a hard time believing that the powers at MB allowed this design to go into production. Beautiful it is not.

you should have a hard time believing it because the article says it was done by a tuner, not by MB! Do people read anymore? This generation is all about looking at the colorful pictures . . .

I really like MB but the design has been off for a while now. This car needs character, presence, and style for this kind of money. You can have A Lambo or a Ferrari for the same money and they don't bore you.

a big +1. it's not even that it's boring, it's just that it is off. it doesn't look right, it doesn't look like they spent much time on it. it's just that, it's disappointing.

Tuner's should be banned from touching this heavenly automobile. I hope this design is part of a Halloween trick because it's absolutely atrocious. "Very good looking"?... There really should be fines for destroying beautfiul cars.

The new SLS is fantastic. This body kit looks terrible. Especially the rims. The rims look very cheap...

mb was idiotic to ditch those wheel arches from the original. and yeah, those rims look utterly out of place.
