Although I am not very fond of VAG cars I have to admite that I was impressed with the TDI engines. Those are some nice numbers for a 2000cc engine.

It annoys me that the S8 is only going to be on par with the 750. Shouldn't the standard A8 be on par with the 750? And the S8 with the 760?

the w or v12 (if the build a new 12-cylinder from scratch) will be on par with the 760. its good that the s8 will go back to a v8 engine. it should be lighter and sportier then the v10.

Who cares about Bimmer. Audi is all about driving experience, not numbers. And...if you are so annoyed, buy a Bimmer.

Driving experience i like that :). BMW known all over for there driving experience and numbers. BMW's 2l deisel has been putting out 153kw and 400nm for about one and a half years already

200 Hp & 400 Nm is not that bad, current A8 2.8 l V6 only does 210 HP and S300 (available in SE Asia) also only produces 231 Hp but 100 less torque which is really important to push such heavy car. Then this diesel seems only to be an option for the FWD that gives A8 weight around 1,700 - 1800s kg and this car still can go to 100km/h sub 9s and run till 230s km/h.
