SpeedFactory 2009 SRT8 Challenger with 6.1L Hemi Mopar aluminum block

Muscle car builder SpeedFactory will present their 440 Hemi-powered Challenger at the 2009 SEMA. SpeedFactory replaced the standard iron block good for 425hp with an aluminum 6.1-litre (370 cu in) block from Mopar and increased the bore and stroke to achieve a new displacement of 440 cu. in. (7.2-litre). Other upgrades include the use of CNC ported Mopar aluminum heads and a Vortech V3 centrifugal supercharger. Maximum power was boosted to 515kW (700hp) when running on 91 octane pump fuel.

The exterior is differentiated by a matte finish, a carbon fibre bonnet, SpeedFactory Signature bages and graphics and a carbon fibre rear spoiler.

The car stands on 20" BBS Black Edition CH-R flow-formed wheels wrapped in Bridgestone R Compound tyres. Stopping power comes from 15" front disc brakes and Brembo 6 piston calipers. Other performance enhancers include performance springs, sway bars and a Corsa stainless steel cat back exhaust system.

The interior comfort package consists of SpeedFactory's Signature floor mats, logo-embossed seat backs and Mopar door sills amongst others.

Even nicer is the aluminum block, it ought to shave at least 200lbs off the car, up front especially which will help all around, acceleration, handling, braking.

the challenger is my favourite modern day reincarnation that america has come up with of late, and this? well this has made it all the more likeable! 700bhp! and they didnt even stuff it up by putting some wanky body kit/colour scheme on it!
