Hamann have released a large batch of pictures depicting yellow and red Hamann Volcano units. Last year a black and white edition was released. The tuner did not provide details on the cars so we can assume they will join the 2008 model as additional peers rather than upgrades. Each of the two cars features interior colours matched with its exterior. Shots from the factory are also included as extra eye candy.

The Hamann Volcano is based on the Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR featuring a 5.4-litre supercharged V8. Instead of the factory 460kW (626hp) and 780Nm, it makes 515kW (700hp) and peak torque of 830Nm at 3,300rpm. The 0 - 100km/h sprint time is 3.6 seconds.

Saija, that's the point of these cars. Especially when it comes to modding them. If someone has the money and they want to buy these cars, more power to them. They could care less about what some 20 year old has to say.

Individuality. That's what this car promotes. Many people got Ferraris and Lamborghinis, but by god, not many people will have this. That's what they're paying for. To be honest, the yellow doesn't look that bad.

Why do Mercedes permit such things?! There should be a contract when you buy such cars to be illegal to tune then with no taste.

then they would lose a lot of clients. nouveau riche and bad taste go hand in hand.

Horrible vehicles. I dont even understand why they took the time to tune a vehicle that hasnt been in production for over a year.

Hamann has clearly gone the Masonry way and decided to ditch performance and go for tasteless "euro-bling"!

I think Mansory done a better job on the SLR than Hamann did

isn't this a couple of years late? it's like you attend a party with last years fashion, and in the wrong colors.

The two tone paint is disgusting but in single colour, a more conservative interior scheme, and traditional silver painted/polished rims this would look good. Especially so in a variety of silver/grey/black. Maybe even midnight blue, dark dark red, or dark green would work well.
