The new Toyota Mark X made its debut at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show. The RWD Mark X is equipped with a 3.5-litre V6 engine as well as a 2.5-litre V6. It features a sporty mesh grille and a tri-lense lamp layout for the headlamps and taillights. Shades of 2009 Camry and current Lexus IS give it an attractive if not slightly conservative design.
Toyota says the 2.5-litre will achieve a 0 - 100mkm/h sprint time of 8.4 seconds and return 7l/100km (49.2 mpg US) in fuel efficiency figures.
Equipment installed includes an HDD navigation system with Map on Demand, Radar Cruise Control and Hill-start Assist Control. Minimum prices start at ¥2.38 million (€17,594/ US$26,080) for the 250G F Package version.
