Amongst several other vehicles, Daihatsu also introduced their Daihatsu Tanto Exe and Tanto Exe Custom at the Tokyo Motor Show.  Lighter and more efficient than the tall-but-narrow Tanto, the Exe is made to be of higher quality.

The refined trim level of the five-door MPV comes with a renewed interior that includes better seats and materials than seen in the base model's generic plastic cabin.  It also appears that the Tanto Exe comes with more color options.  Exterior changes include a new headlight cluster and grille.

For those purchasing the Tanto Exe Custom, Daihatsu promises "a premium feel that further enhances the sense of quality."

Then again, judging by the looks of things, they would have to promise a lot to get us into one of these.

I thought a tanto was a wickedly sharp knife with a chisel point. This doesn't make me think of one of those.
