I hope this version of the STI is limited because the STI's are already expensive as is. I would not mind an automatic STI as long as they utilize the double clutch transmission, however, a five-speed? I thought we've came out of the "five-speed era". I don't believe the cars potential will reach its peak with a five-speed transmission. Let alone if its just some standard automatic transmission which would make it worst. Lets hope Subaru knows what they're doing.

No worries, AMG is still using 5 speed slush box on their 65 series models.

It comes with manual paddle shifters no? AMG doesn't have too much choice though, way too much torque for their current manual choices(if they have them).

I love this car, but why oh why did they put an automatic gearbox? You don't see rally cars with automatic gears....

Of course I would buy this one with automatic transmission, currently this is the best one.

Thank god I'm an Lan evo guy. AT rally car? Its a sad day for Subaru. They really fell off since the 22B days.

I bet that the autobox also "helps reduce the vehicle's weight"...
And this isn't because it works with AMG that it does with the Sub: the AMGs (V12 twinturbo, V8 supercharged...) have a much wider powerband than the boxer 4 turbo

No i wouldnt buy this subaru with the auto box, rather the 6 speed manual so you can control the turbo

This model of STi is probably the fastest ever, but also the heaviest, it could use a diet. Not sure why it comes only with an auto gearbox when manual offers more performance AND economy.
