Nissan has unveiled the redesigned 2010 Fuga (aka Infiniti M) at the Tokyo Motor Show.

The sleek luxury sedan will be powered by two different V6 engines, a 2.5-liter and a 3.7-liter with 328 hp. Eventually, Nissan will launch a Fuga Hybrid with a 3.5-liter V6 and an electric motor. According to Nissan, the hybrid has "a single electric motor/twin clutch arrangement. Innovatively, the first clutch is installed between the naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 and the electric motor. The result of this configuration, where all components act on a single prop shaft to the rear differential, is a consistent driving feel under all conditions with linear performance and the ‘direct responses' that the engineers sought."

Packed with the latest technology, the Fuga boasts Double Piston Shock Absorbers (with variable damping) and an Intelligent Transport System, which alerts the driver about upcoming obstacles via the navigation system. Other goodies include leather upholstery, wood trim, and an odor suppressing climate control system.

Look for the new Fuga to start arriving at Japanese dealerships later this year.

The old car had such a great look, but this new one so far looks a little weird. I hope it looks better in person.

Well, at least in the pictures, this car has a certain cartoonishness to it. I'm trying to picture how it will look once it is out, on the road, and next to other cars for a while. The interior finishes/materials look to be a definite improvement, though.

The Essence is such a breath taking and ground breaking concept. I believe that it is a pivotal event for Japanese automakers. It is sad to see that Nissan/Infiniti is having such difficulty translating its elements to production.

From the side view looks just like panamera. I like it.

I like it, but a infiniti g35/7 looks better. How much hp has the 2.5 then? It seems that the japanese respect their luxury cars more than the germans, because I don't any 1.4 turbo in this on. Cars like this with 4 cylinders are only bougt because the have less tax for c02

I like Nissans alot but im with Khanz, the frontal areas proportions are off, it does look like the engine is trying to explode out from the car.

The first thing that I thought of was it's a Maserati Quatroporte that's been eating nothing but McDonald's for 2 years and getting no exercise.

The old model was crisp and handsome for a large car.

It's like seeing a guy that used to be trim gaining beer belly and wearing pleated khakis.
