These latest spy pictures give a glimpse of the upcoming BMW X3's interior. Not a lot is visible, but some of the dials and the start/ stop button can be seen. Unfortunately the exterior is still camo-flooded but a clear evolution over the current model is envisaged. The round rear lights can't be taken seriously as they are red herrings meant to throw us off track.

BMW launched the X3 in 2003 and a minor facelift was applied in 2006. Next year we'll see the new car running around. No longer the smallest SUV in its stable - the X1 takes that slot - X3 now becomes even more important as people begin to downsize from X5-types into something less cumbersome.

Speculated engines include the new 3.0-litre single turbo unit making 225kW (306hp) as well as its turbo diesel mirror. Smaller plants will also be included.

haha, even with the camo, the interior already looks 100 times better then the current x3's cheap ugly interior

Its bigger than the X1 which is basically a rebodied 3-series with rasied suspension.

The new X3 is also expected to be slightly bigger than the the outgoing X3.

Hmmm...wonder what the difference between the X1 and X3 is going to be.

I really, really want them to build an X2. My wife, however, would prefer an X2-and-7/16th's.

I was really hoping they would build a 2 seat X1.

BMW is about to build ultimate driving machines by filling any gap in their own imagination. So I think X3 will be 3 cm longer and 11 mm higher than X1.
